Case Study: Leading Raw Material Manufacturer

(1) Started recruiting international students few years back, and hires 4-5 every year.90% of the international students hired are from China.

(2) Due to the mid-term management strategy and to further globalize the company, there is a growing demand to hire students from various countries/backgrounds.

1 Decided the requirements for talents from data such as university major, Japanese/English proficiency, Nationality/Region, etc.
2 Searched and selected the students matching with the client needs from our TOP CAREER database and our original test. As the client asked to meet as many candidates, we selected 80 from two cities (Tokyo &Osaka).
3 Planned and held TOP CAREER recruiting events in early March in two cities (Tokyo & Osaka)
4 Held multiple interviews in April. 5 students from different countries received an offer.

1:Analysis/Find and Clarify the Challenges

(1) There is a chronic shortage of Japanese students with Mechanical, Electronic, and Information background fulfilling the requirements of the company.

(2) There is an urgent need to globalize due to the overseas business development, however, almost 100% of the employees are Japanese.

(3) Although the company has decided to recruit international students, they are facing the difficulty to meet the right talents that match with their requirements.


2:Strategy Planning/Execution

1 Decided on the required talents in consideration of the candidate’s major, Japanese proficiency, years in Japan, programming skills, and etc.
2 Searched and selected the students matching the client needs from our TOP CAREER database and our original test. As the client asked to meet selected candidates, 20 students were shortlisted.
3 Planned and held TOP CAREER recruiting event in late March.
4 Held multiple interviews in April. 10 out of 20 students received an offer.

(1) Investigate the cause of decline of Japanese tourists to Jamaica.

(2) Necessity to improve the image of Jamaica and to plan for increasing Japanese tourists.

1 Conducted an attitude survey towards Jamaica. The survey was not only conducted towards Japanese, but had a multifaceted approach and analysis utilizing the TOP CAREER network in North/Middle/South America and Europe.

  • The number of tourists in other countries, comparison of other countries.
  • Incidents or factors in Japan at the times of decline in Japanese visits to Jamaica.

  • Suggestions and proposals for travel agencies, promotions and products with the Board and the Embassy of Jamaica.
4 Set up an administrative operational office in Japan and play a key role as the contact for inquiries from consumers as well as conduct promotional activities. Execution of a bilingual tourist info/inquiry services.
